Petr Albrecht

Petr Albrecht has been the director of Televizní studio Brno since November 2023. He has worked at Czech Television since 2009. He started out in the Brno newsroom, and also gained experience as a scriptwriter and dramaturge, as well as editing the flagship news program *Události* during a several-month internship at Kavčí Hory. Before taking on the studio’s leadership, he was the chief editor of the Brno news desk.

He began his career in journalism in 2006 as an editor at Lidové noviny.

He studied media studies and journalism at Palacký University in Olomouc and marketing at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. He currently teaches courses on television news and social media at Masaryk University in Brno.
