Gabriela Lefenda

Gabriela Lefenda has been the director of the Ostrava Television Studio of Czech Television (ČT) since May 2024. She is an experienced manager and journalist specializing in regional issues. Before returning to Czech Television, she served as Director of External Relations at AGEL ČR starting in 2019, where she also acted as a spokesperson and served on the Board of Directors of the AGEL Foundation and the Supervisory Board of the AGEL Scientific and Research Institute.

Her career in journalism began in 1996 at the regional television station Polar; from 1998, she worked at TV Nova as an assistant to the program director, host, and editor. From 2010 to 2013, she hosted the programs Dobré ráno s ČT and Události v regionech for Czech Television. Between 2013 and 2018, she served as head of the Ostrava news desk.

Gabriela Lefenda graduated from the University of Ostrava, where she first earned a master’s degree and subsequently a doctorate in Czech language didactics from the Faculty of Education. She has experience in actively shaping corporate culture and brand identity, and in the past she actively participated in foundation activities and the support of scientific research initiatives.
