He used to work as a babysitter, he mowed lawns, he also held a paper route delivering news to earn 100 dollars - to buy a microscope. Even though he was making money it was not that easy and before he got the microscope he had gone to the police to turn in his parents. Today its part of the story of Nobel laureate Randy Schekman who helped describe how cells organise their transport system. His work has helped a lot of people.
