She reached the orbit at the age of 53 after waiting more than 15 years for her flight. Before that, she worked for the CIA for over 7 years. She participated in the search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. She was preparing for a flight on the Soyuz spacecraft, but NASA reassigned her to other tasks without explaining why. In the end, she flew on the Crew Dragon spacecraft. And from orbit, she saw a solar eclipse.
