Director, producer, script editor and scriptwriter

He graduated in Sociology and Social Policy and Social Work at Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk university in Brno, and Documentary Film at Film and Tv School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he is currently making his graduate's film.

The main themes of his work are social and political issues. In a film Dál nic (Nothing Ahead; 80 min., 2013), which is currently being made, he investigates the problem of hypermobility and the policy behind the construction of a motorway D8 in České středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands). His previous project Copper age (2010) about copper mining in Zambia was in cinema and television distribution in the Czech Republic and won several prizes including the main prize at International Film Festival TUR Ostrava 2011. His documentary film Trvalé bydliště Praha (Permanent Address - Prague, 2008) is about survival strategies of homeless people in Prague and it was shown at various festivals abroad, e.g. Festival de Cine de Huesca, Spain, International Student Film and Video Festival of Beijing Film Academy, China, Cronograf, Moldova či International Student Film Festival, Israel. His short documentary portrait Sikora. Little Personal Marketing Epos (2007) was premiered at Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, it was nominated for a Prize of Andrej Stankovič and it was also broadcast on Czech television.

He created numerous documentaries for the Czech television focusing on social themes, e.g. Mých posledních 150 000 cigaret (My Last 150 000 Cigarettes, 2013), Klovací pořádek (Pecking Order, 2013), Když děti nosí stát (When the Kids Are Brought Up by the State, 2012), Atomová víra (Nuclear Religion, 2012), Všechny příští Černobyly (All the Next Chernobyls, 2011), Bitevní pole domácích prací (The Battlefield of Chores, 2011), Masáž ve slepé ulici (A Massage in Dead End, 2011) or popular Hypermarket, jeho pán a otrok (Hypermarket, His Master and His Slave, 2011), which was also shown at Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.

He also works as a script editor of documentary films for Czech television. He used to work as a film critic and editorial writer of a journal Referendum, an editor in chief of a magazine Nový Prostor, video-reporter of Respect newsweekly, sociologist in non-profit sector and analyst in Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs.
