Alena Dernerová
Worked for many years as a doctor in a hospital in north Bohemia. Here she called attention to the corruption operating in the over-priced purchase of medical equipment. This led to her becoming involved in local politics and eventually to election as senator. We will examine from her point of view the issues involved in undergoing professional risks for reasons of principle, in conjunction with a medical career and politics, and other topics.
