A cheerful and amusing fairy tale about castle ghosts, dangerous robbers and brave Fanny. Slavena, the White Lady, and the ghost of Tomas the painter have been happily haunting Knight Slavoy’s castle for 200 years. One evening Fanny, a young cook, takes refuge here when chased by robbers. Slavena and Tomas suggest that she should stay with them. And so, despite the ceaseless protests of Knight Slavoy, who has the spell of everlasting immobility to bear, they all live together quite contentedly. However, the gang of robbers wile their way into the castle, meaning to drive out the ghosts and enjoy a life of plenty. But Fanny has a brave heart and is willing to do anything for the White Lady and Tomas. And it is Knight Slavoy who becomes her unexpected helpmate.
