This dramatic story of undying love and base intrigue reveals psychological depth through its well-developed characters. Children will identify with the heroes and so will many adults. A Prince falls in love with a beautiful girl in a painting and longs to find and marry her. The Prince's young stepmother feels threatened by the situation and tries to kill him. The girl finds the injured Prince, saves his life, and together they overcome all obstacles, though they can't help the now desperate stepmother.
