Series of six parts, inspired by the lives of Czech actors, actresses and film makers during the 2nd World War and in the post-war period. Associated with the most-demanded film studios of the time – Prague´s Barrandov – were such names as Oldřich Nový, Vlasta Burian, Jaroslav Marvan, Zdeněk Štěpánek and others. But what was the price for keeping a role, and how the actors once applauded by the crowds had to pay for it after the war, when they were accused of collaboration with the Nazis and brought before the “people´s court of law"? Bohemia is about the envy, desire to feature on the theatre stage and in the film studio at any cost, and turbulent political changes reflected in the life stories of the crème de la crème of Czech film.
