A thirteen-part series set in the present about a family of former hoteliers who, after more than forty years try to fulfill their fathers dream.Before the Second World War, hotelier Herbichs business was his great pride. In the middle of a park, surrounded by tennis courts and outfitted in perfect comfort, his hotel offered guests such delightful luxury that they gladly returned. With the advent of the Communist regime in 1948 the owner lost his hotel and soon after died. After 1989, the property was returned under restitution to the surviving family, and they decided to return it to its original splendor. They soon discover, however, that it will be far from easy. Everyone already has his or her own lifestyle and work, and no one has experience running a hotel or administrating family property. Actually, everyone would gladly give it up and sell the hotel at a profit. All but the mother, that is, who does not want to abandon the project and will not allow the others to either. She is convinced that in every situation it is necessary to fight, and that with their combined strength the family must succeed in building the hotels new existence.
