The main character lives alone in the woods. He is seeking peace and quiet. He is oversleeping in empty cottages, but he is not a thief. He always cleans up after himself. He never eats more than one can of their food. But this winter is not a good one. Despite his efforts to avoid everyone, his path is crossed by two dubious characters and a child in need of help... So, his inner peace is gone.
