A psychological drama with a criminal plot. The protagonists, a young couple, have promising careers ahead of them – Hana as a classical music singer, Dan as the pianist who accompanies her. They win a prestigious competition, and immediately attract great attention of the musical circles. Their agent is sending them to perform all over the country, they sing and play and are happy. And then one night, on their way home from a concert, a second of careless driving causes the wheel of Fortune to jam. On the road in the midst of the forest, their car knocks down an old (and evidently drunk) man, who rejects their offer of help – but soon afterwards he dies. Even though Hana and Dan confess and take all the blame , their career crumbles. Their agent doesn´t want to have any further dealing with them, and their misfortune becomes a fine catch for the gutter press. Winners become losers, lovers become killers. But however bad things look at first sight, there is still hope. They part – in order to come together again later.
