The film based on the bestseller novel by Michal Viewegh (b. 1962), one of the most widely published young Czech authors. It reflects various genders and different views of his hero and heroine, on the groud-plan of a love-story. It is the story of Oscar, a teacher who is trying to write and turns himself into a character in his novel. Pressed by lack of funds, Oscar accepts the position of tutor in the nouveau-riche Král family. The clumsy teenager who has problems with her grammar is duly turned into bautiful Beata, who has all kinds of problems. The creative writing course turns into sessions of mad passion and the teachers equable life changes into a wild chase between lover, wife and nine-year-old daughter. A tragic end seems to be imminent...
