The most thoroughgoing overview to date covering the development of Czech fine arts from the end of the Second World War to the present. The series maps out those trends which decisively influenced the Czech art scene and presents detailed portraits of the periods most expressive artists. Studios bring to the screen the works of three generations of artists, from the traditionalists to the innovators of the sixties, the underground and exiled artists of the seventies and eighties, as well as personalities whose work is marked by the postmodernism of the nineties.
