WORLD, YOU SCARE ME

Bojím se tě, světe

A sincere and even cruel confession by a young HIV-positive drug addict heading fast towards his own demise. Twenty-five-year old Evžen has been addicted to hard drugs since the age of fourteen. Several things make him different to the "normal dope addict". He is capable of self-reflection. However, this is not the only reason why he holds discussions with secondary school students. Anti-drug lectures are probably the only legal source of the money he needs to buy drugs. When he once decided to get off dope - as a result of falling in love - he learnt that he was HIV-positive. This led to the loss of all motivation and more and more often he visits a cementery where he shoots himself with larger and larger doses. The documentary end with Evžen reading a poem he wrote for the crew about the loneliness he will have to face once the filming is over.
