THE STARRY HEAVENS DISAPPEAREDAS THOUGH CLOSED LIKE A BOOK

Nebesa zmizela, jako když se zavře kniha

An artistic documentary about the relationship between Man and the universe, and a reflection on the reason why mankind has been so engrossed for centuries in investigating the stars. The history of the development of astronomy and astrology seems closely connected to Prague, where in fact Kepler, de Brahe, Burgi and Einstein all made significant discoveries. In the end, however, we all stand in silent amazement beneath a vault of heaven full of shining stars, and comprehend our own importance only slightly more clearly than did those of our ancestors who first turned their eyes up at the Moon. Electric trick sequences and animation were used in the film, and dozens of computer simulations of space systems, movements and phenomena were produced in cooperation with leading astrophysicist.
