Catalogue of Czech Television Programmes
A documentary film about three admirable women artists who were born in Prague in the 1920s and dedicated their lives to creativity and to their families. Sonia Červená opera singer - performed on the elite podiums of the world after emigrating from Bohemia, while her name was forgotten in her own country. Lenka Reinerová a writer who was hit dramatically during both totalitarian regimes to the extent that her personal life became the inspiration for her writings. Adriena Šamotová visual artist, lived her creative life in artistic resistance to the communist regime. These three women personally experienced the dramatic historical changes of the 20th century and stepped into the 21st century not as retired ladies enjoying their well-deserved rest, but as active, thoughtful and perceptive old women. They are the memory of the bygone century and personal founts of the history of the Czech nation.
