A television fairy-tale based on a story by Charles Deulin about a castle where dancing was prohibited, and yet the Princesses' slippers became worn through from dancing every night. Had Peter the basket-weaver not fallen in love with the youngest of the Princesses, nobody would have found out where she and her two sisters spend their nights, and why it is so hard to wake them up in the mornings. Peter is helped by a fairy who, it later transpires, is the Princesses' mother.
