Antonín Dvořák’s Stabat Mater was inspired by a tragic event in the composer's life. And this ballet based on Dvořák's music was also influenced by tragedy: by resent events in the former Yugoslavia. The ballet, with choreography by Pavel Šmok, was filmed at the Church of Sts. Simon and Jude in Prague.
