Twelve years’ existence, regular participation at festivals like Between Fences, Rock for People or the Ladronkafest, performances on television, collaboration with well-known singers… That is the Tap Tap band. However, their most important characteristic is that playing in the band gives its members - students with serious physical handicaps from Prague’s Jedlička Institute –self-assurance and enjoyment of life. Zora Cejnková’s documentary film presents the founder and band-leader Šimon Ornest and also three of the band members – Jana Augustinová, Jiří Holzmann and Ladislav Angelovič. All three permit us to look into their life stories, their families and also their dreams. How does the band help them fulfill their dreams? What does it bring them and what do they bring to the band? Does music help them overcome barriers within themselves as well as in their surroundings?
