José Cura Gala- Tenor and Conductor

José Cura Gala - tenor a dirigent

A recording of the gala concert presented by José Cura, Argentina, at the Municipal House, Prague. José Cura a tenor of the 21st century. On the world scene of music, Argentina-born José Cura is considered to be the unrivalled successor of the tenor threesome Placido Domingo, José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti; in fact he is acknowledged to be one of the most perfect and many-sided performing artists of his generation. His magnificent voice, attractive looks, natural talent, wide education in music and his exceptional diligence have made him into a star of highest rank. He evoked deserved admiration for the difficult, dramatic opera roles he handled with ease at a noteworthy standard at an early age, primarily Verdis Othello. Originally José Cura graduated in conducting, for many years he refused a singing career, despite his obvious talent. Finally however, he succumbed to the magic of singing opera and now has numerous leading roles to his credit, performed at the great world opera houses.
