The documentary Ballad for Edvard Grieg gained Grand Prix Golden Prague 2008
The jury of ITF GP has announced the winners in the individual competitions categories at today´s press conference. Grand Prix of the 45th ITF Golden Prague was awarded to the programme Ballad for Edvard Grieg because of its overall excellence. Two Czech Crystals was awarded in category Documentary programmes dedicated to music and dance: The Maestro Maker- Jorma Panula and his Finnish Conducting School and Herbert von Karajan-Maestro for the Screen. The telerecording of Wagner´s opera Tristan und Isolde from Glyndebourne Festival conducted by Jiří Bělohlávek obtained Czech Crystal in category Musical drama. At the Official Awards Ceremony of the ITF Golden Prague 2008 will be handed over Audience Award - "The Art of Bel Canto- Edita Gruberova", Prize of the Dagmar and Vaclav Havel foundation Vision 97 - "Daria Klimentová, around the world en pointe" and Czech Television Prize - "Liverpool Nativity".
Official Awards Ceremony
We have pleasure of inviting you to the Gala Evening on the occasion of the Official Awards Ceremony of the ITF Golden Prague 2008 which takes plays tonight at 8 pm, at the Great Hall, Žofín. The Prizes will be handed over by Vítězslav Sýkora, Václav Havel, Jiří Janeček, Reiner Moritz, Milan Richter, František Mikeš and Přemysl Sobotka. The ensemble Musica Bohemica and dance company Hradišťan will perform. The live transmission on Czech Television will be moderated by Jitka Novotná. Admission free.
Press Conference
Briefing takes place today at 3 pm, at the Small Hall, Žofín Palace. Participants: executive director Vítězslav Sýkora, chairman Reiner Moritz and spokesman Ivan Ruml. The winning programm will be screened after the press conference.
The fourth Day: An Evening with Russian Television Telekanal Kultura
The last but one day of the ITF Golden Prague offers free access to the video library (9.00-20.00) at the Great Hall of Palace Žofín. The Evening with the Russian State Television and Radio, St. Petersburg Studio starts at 8 pm at the Small Hall, Žofín. Come and watch the Russion television production and take a taste of Russian pasty.
