Total HelpArt T.H.A. was founded in 1992 by members of Sklep
Theater:
- Ondrej Trojan: film and television director (a 1990 graduate of Prague's
Film Academy (FAMU) in direction), producer, actor;
- Jiri Burda: economist, screenwriter and script editor, theater director,
actor;
- Tomas Hanak: actor, screenwriter, lyricist, DJ on Prague's Radio Limonadovy
Joe.
Total HelpArt T.H.A. is engaged in producing and distributing
audiovisual works, in agent and production services for Sklep
Theater, and in organizational and business activities mainly
in the cultural sphere.
Total HelpArt T.H.A. produced Jan Hrebejk's feature films COSY
DENS and DIVIDED WE FALL, and Tomas Vorel's OUT
OF THE CITY.
Total HelpArt T.H.A. has produced many short films:
Camels Walk Mysteriously at Night (filming of a special Sklep
Theater performance, dir. Ondrej Trojan, for Czech Television, 1992);
Mills (filming of a special Sklep Theater performance, dir. Ondrej
Trojan, for Czech Television, 1993);
Fireside Stories (eight-part series, dirs. Tomas Vorel, Zdenek
Tyc, Ondrej Trojan, Vaclav Koubek, and others, for Czech Television,
1994, 1995);
The Bustle of Forest Wisdom (New Year's program at Sklep Theater,
dir. Ondrej Trojan, for Czech Television, 1997);
Multicar Movie Show (New Year's film sketch at Sklep Theater,
dir. Ondrej Trojan, for Czech Television, 1998);
Wartburg Movie Show (New Year's film sketch at Sklep Theater,
dir. Ondrej Trojan, for Czech Television, 1999).
Total HelpArt T.H.A. has also produced several documentaries
(e.g. The Total Camel of Kristof Trobacek, and The
Prague Five from Vienna to the Acropolis-about the theater,
artistic, and musical company The Prague Five, dir. Petr Nikolaev),
music videos (for the Czech groups Vltava, Karel Plihal, Jaromir
Nohavica, Ivan Hlas, Mnaga a Zdorp, Divoka Srdce, etc.), and
commercials.
Producer-director Ondrej Trojan and screenwriter Petr Jarchovsky
are currently are working on a new feature film entitled Zelary.
