Michaela Drotárová – Erika

Michaela Drotarova is a representative of the youngest generation of Slovak actors. She was born in 1984; she finished studies at music and dramatic department of Konzervatorium in Kosice, at present she studies acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and the Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica.

She gave performances in Statni divadlo Kosice (Paní úsvitu, Rozabella, Sněhurka a sedm trpaslíků), in the theatre Clipperton in Banska Bystrica she played a part of Julie in Romeo and Juliet; in Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava she acted in dramas Chvála bláznovství and R.U.R.

She also appeared in musicals: Cinderella, Snow White (Studio Smer in Kosice), The Hop Pickers (DJZ Presov) and Zluta lilie (Divadlo Banska Bystrica); and many ballet or dance performances.

On TV screens she appeared in the performances produced by corporations STV and TV Nova; in the New Year's Eve part of the popular Slovak sitcom Neighbours. At present we can see her in the popular TV show Surgery in the pink garden (Ordinace v růžové zahradě).

The first feature film she acted in was Bathory; then she appeared in the film Sakura flowers (Květy sakury) directed by Ivan Vojnar.

Působila též jako televizní moderátorka, účinkuje v televizních spotech a reklamách, pracuje v dabingu. Roky se věnuje rovněž klasickému baletu a gymnastice, modernímu, scénickému i lidovému tanci.

Film character

She is one of Erzsebet's servants, but she is far from being shy and timid – she behaves noticeably womanly and she is aware of her qualities. After Caravaggio comes to the castle, she is appointed to take care of him, and she tries to seduce him. Her love for him does not presage anything good for her.
